JSFL 2012: And that is how we do that! - A season ending finale for 2012!!

The 2012 season has finally come to a close in a spectacular Awards Day ceremony hosted at The British International School. For the 1,750 who attended it was the usual night of TV celebrities and football stars giving away over 30 league and cup winning trophies plus medals galore for all winners and runners-up. Hosted by Andy Penders and PJ Roberts from ESPN Star Sports plus the personal appearance of Indonesian football internationals Bambang Pumungkas.

And what a season it has been! Close to 800 games and 5,000 goals in which 60 schools with 200 teams with 3,000 students have participated. Well done to you all!! As the Chairman, Brian Dallamore, said on the night, our thanks to our incredible sponsors Coca-Cola and Geenfield’s Milk who have supported the League since 2006/7 in so many ways plus Adaro for helping us with the amazing entertainers during the show including world champion ball jugglers and football personalities. Thank you again to The British International School for the wonderful BIS World Theatre and for staging the Greenfield’s Cup finals not to mention so many Satudays of football for all to enjoy.
We would also like to thank our venue schools for allowing us to use their priceless playing fields during the season. These were, in addition to BIS, Sek Tiara Bangsa-ACS, Global Jaya Internationalfor the firdst time. School, Sinar Mas World Academy, Deutche International School, Jakarta International School and ISCI. Plus of course ASA Asia Soccer Academy for managing the league playing programme for the first time.

The Future? We need your HELP!
As to next season, we would like very much for our students and players to play a much bigger part in the direction and management of the league by joining the main committee. We are inviting a total of 5 students made-up of 2 from the U8 and U10 division and 3 from U12/14/16 to come on board and help us to decide how to communicate with and  inter-act with the teams and players. We are looking to expand our Facebook and Twitter sites and plan strategic development around children’s focussed charities in Jakarta. We will shortly be placing a invitation for you to apply to the league and share your idea. Look for the link and be ready to tell us in 500 words what you would like to achieve and why.
Have a good rest. Congratulations to all who have participated!!
